
Dakovo-London connection
Otto Grundmann, employee of the year of the Nobu restaurant chain 2019. – a resident of London, which he reached from his native Osijek, via Zagreb and Rotterdam, is the creator of our first cocktail White Goose.
You will still hear a lot about Otto and the first White Goose small distillery in Đakovo, because a lot is being prepared in our London-Đakovo kitchen, but for now we remain a mystery.
White Goose cocktail
30 ml brandy (any White goose brandy of your choice)
25 ml Aperol
50 ml of fresh red grapefruit juice
12.5 ml of sugar syrup
25 ml of fresh lemon juice

A little about Otto
Otto isa great perfectionist, both in life and in his work, Otto graduated from the bartending school with Saša Lovrenščak at the Nekić Barology Studio in Zagreb. He gained experience working from Opatija to Split and Hvar, followed by a step forward and a trip to Rotterdam. He was not very attracted to the Dutch peaceful way of life, so after a few months he applied for a job in London, no less than in one of London’s Nobu restaurants. And as he himself says, after the trial shift, that story has been going on for a year and a half.
Otto’s innovation and artistic expression was also recognized by his colleagues from the world’s first modern global restaurant empire created by Nobu Matsuhisa one of today’s most important chefs, introducing a new concept that combined entertainment, social scene and superb gastronomy. Nobu restaurants, in which Otto Grundmann was named an employee of 2019. chef Nobu Matsuhisa, together with his main investor Robert de Niro, turned it into one of the strongest gastro franchises of all time.
That’s why we recommend our White goose cocktail created by Otto Grundmann:
30 ml brandy (any White goose brandy of your choice)
25 ml Aperol
50 ml of fresh red grapefruit juice
12.5 ml of sugar syrup
25 ml of fresh lemon juice

The glass is filled with ice, followed by the ingredients from the recipe, except for mineral water, in the order listed. If you do not have a Cocktail Shaker, then mix the ingredients in a glass and only then add mineral water for the end. If you use Cocktail Shaker, shake all the ingredients well with a lot of ice, prepare new ice in a glass, fill it with strained cocktail and add mineral water.
Otto claims that any of you can make this and that you will drink White goose cocktail with pleasure.
